Meet: Juan and Dori Fernandez

Juan and Dori have been married for 24 years. They have four children and seven grandchildren. Juan is employed as a hardware engineer for Honeywell. Dori dispatches for a towing company. They provide care for their three elderly parents living in the home.

After her father passed away ten years ago, Dori considered purchasing a home for senior widowed women to split costs. Her mother needed more care than independent shared arrangements would provide at that time, so she didn't pursue it.

Dori's grandfather was a recovering alcoholic and she remembers attending AA meetings with him as a child and his whole family supporting him in his recovery efforts.

Their nephew is justice involved and while he is blessed to have full family support, it has been quite challenging for him as he reenters society. While employment and housing are incredibly important for their continued success, obstacles for those released from prison sometimes puts them at risk of returning to perpetual and harmful habits and detrimental lifestyles.

Juan and Dori are committed to providing compassionate assistance to those in any housing insecure situations to obtain the help and support needed to FINISH WELL, no matter how they start.

Meet: Angela Nicolazzi

A teen mom at 15 years old and incarcerated at the age of 19, Angela didn’t believe that transformation was possible for her, but realized she needed to make a change! During her 15 years of imprisonment she took many classes and courses and changed her mindset. She explains, "It is a long journey yet there’s nothing you can’t do!".

Being released and reconciling with her kids has made such an impact on how much of life can be taken for granted.

Angela sympathizes with ladies being released from prison and looks forward to showing how they can be successful upon liberation as well.

Now, at 34 years old with a burning passion to teach, Angela's daily mission is to uplift and encourage others going through these same difficult situations. Her dream is to be an outlet, a voice for other women, kids and families and for them to be able to experience that same second chance!
